"Ball" Alone

Posted by
Jason Politte (Conway, AR, United States) on 15 September 2011 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio.

Lost and forgotten, this softball sits near the right field fence at an overgrown baseball field in Conway.

And the ball is thinking "I get my brains knocked out, bashed 100's of yards away, then lost and forgotten. Sheesh, come on , PLAY WITH ME"

Beautiful shot and not forgot for long I imagine, the person who lost the
ball would be sore, the words are readable, the ball seems pristine.

Cool shot, something simple...but attractive at the same time...love the contrast of the dead grass and the fresh grass, well seen!

Oh! I know this one - you stick your hand through, grasp the ball and find it's too big to fit through the fence! Great shot of the landscape here and wonderful point of view!

Almost has a smiley face on it. It appeals to the psyche -- some sort of symbol of being well, fenced in. Did you reach in and toss it back onto the field? Did you take it home?

Well-composed and framed in the links of the cyclone fence. Your PoV also adds nice depth to this composition.

Wonderful image and great POV! Sometimes I take my dogs for a walk near a baseball field. In the fall, when the grass dies back, it is amazing the number of baseballs and softballs that were lost!
