Dancing Flames

Posted by
Jason Politte (Conway, AR, United States) on 5 October 2011 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio.

Since the time of the first humans, learning to control fire has been one of the most important aspects of our development. Not only does it provide heat, light, and a way to cook food, but also a companion - one that keeps us enthralled by the dancing of the flames.

A great close-up of these flames. I like how they are unobstructed and "dancing" freely here. Beautiful warm color as well.

...I think I see faces...:-}
Good frame and perfect texture detail, if you can call fire a texture. Like your description calling attention to this element being one of the 4 ingredients in life. Fire, Air, Water, Earth. I think there's more but this is all I need. Very creative catch Jason.

marvellous colors and shapes here, jason! i've tried several times to do this, but the results were more than meager ...
(i hope you didn't have to look into the flames too long! we have a saying here - for children - that if you look into an open fire too long, you will pee in your bed ... ;-))
