Francisco Romero from Carbajal de la Legua, Spain

Amazing subject, Jason. It must have been quite a party! Now seriously, splendid framing. Have you and your loved ones a great start of the year.

Phil David Morris 2011 from Saskatoon, New York, Canada

This has been done since the 1970's it seems and yet now is a new craze. Sometimes it
works beautifully otherwise could be a waste of shoes. Beautiful photograph and lighting.

@Phil David Morris 2011: Thank you very much, Phil. I couldn't help but get a shot of these shoes blowing in the wind when I saw them. :-)

Elaine Hancock from Rockville, United States

Great light. We used to be told that hanging shoes marked the turf of different gangs. Makes an interesting composition!

The blue sky is a lovely compliment to these shoes. Unfortunately where I live downtown and in many other big cities, this indicates such things as "drugs in supply" or "out of stock" as well as gang territory signposts. I much prefer it to be purely an abstract visual.
