Purchase a print of this photograph
I decided that this photograph needed a bit more "umph", so I took one of the bolts of lightning from this photograph and added it in. :-)

And there was me thinking how lucky you were to have caught this, but superbly done anyway Jason, a great image

Well you had a whole heap of fun doing it if nothing else :-)
I think your lightning should have been a lot further back though just under those dark clouds.
Nobody gets so unlucky to be almost in striking distance .............err........do they?
29 Jul 2013 10:12pm
@Curly: Thanks Curly - I wanted it to be dramatic though, and that kind of strike away from the storm is a fairly common occurence. And yes, some do get that lucky. ;-) I have video of some VERY close strikes. A friend actually has a real shot of a tree being struck.
Wow! Great capture Jason. I've never been able to get lightning quite like that. I also really like the wind in the road.

@AMH: Thank you very much - glad you like this image so much. :-)
Well I think the strike works well here, I also like that road going off into the distance. Your framing and pov are great too!

Sorry Jason I must admit that I didn't read on past purchase this photo as I thought it was repetitive text posted every day. You certainly fooled me. I clearly have no ability to spot a photoshop!
30 Jul 2013 6:38am
@Ainsley: No worries, Ainsley. :-) My intent was to make it look as real as possible. Even viewing this image at 100%, most wouldn't know the bolt was photoshopped in.
